Compatibility for the future In late 2022, AMD released the AM5 socket, the successor to its popular AM4 platform. Since all mechanical dimensions remain the same, we can ensure the compatibility of ARCTIC coolers with new AMD processors. In addition, all coolers produced by ARCTIC are already compatible with Intel's Alder Lake and Raptor Lake LGA1700 processors. A worthy successor to the Freezer 7 Pro: better price - better performance ARCTIC Freezer 7 X is a compact processor cooler with one 100 mm fan. It is cross-compatible with common Intel and AMD sockets. It features an improved heatsink design and reworked heat pipe layout. In conjunction with a fan optimized for high static pressure, ARCTIC was able to significantly improve the cooling performance of the Freezer 7 X. Longer lifetime thanks to low coil temperature The Freezer 7 X uses a fan motor newly developed by ARCTIC. This runs less audibly and more efficiently, so the temperature of the coils is 20 °C lower than with conventional motors. This significantly extends the life of the fans. Offset heat pipes enable optimal heat dissipation The direct contact heat pipes attached to the Freezer 7 X and the optimized design of the 44 cooling fins work together to ensure that the heat from the CPU can be ideally dissipated and released into the air. More efficient and quiet In addition to running quieter, even at maximum speed, the Freezer 7 X's built-in fan motor is also much more efficient. Power consumption has been reduced from 0.25 A to 0.07 A, corresponding to an actual saving of 72% of power consumption. ARCTIC engineers were also able to reduce the volume by 40%, allowing the Freezer 7 X to operate at a whisper-quiet 0.3 son at top speed. 10% more cooling capacity ARCTIC Freezer 7 X sets new standards in cooling. Compared to its predecessor, an increase in performance of almost 10% could be tested. Thermal resistance means the absolute capacity of the processor cooler, so it shows the increase in temperature per unit of performance. It also represents CPU-independent cooling performance and is a more accurate alternative to the TDP specification. P-fan for higher performance The Freezer 7 X fan, inspired by the P series, takes advantage of all the advantages of P-fans: High static pressure for greater cooling efficiency Wide rpm range Lower energy consumption Less vibration PWM for synchronous fan control Fluid Dynamic Bearings Thanks to the combination of alloy and lubricant developed in Germany, friction inside the bearing is reduced, leading to greater efficiency. In this way, less heat is produced, there is less bearing noise, and the life of the fan is extended. Heat pipes with direct contact Freezer 7 X uses direct contact heat pipes. This ensures that the heat to be dissipated is transferred directly to the heat pipes without an additional layer of material and is carried through the pipes to the cooler.
