Matching the silhouette of the camera, it enables better support when using large-diameter lenses and when shooting in the vertical orientation. At the base of the grip, a 38mm-wide protrusion features a dovetail design that can act as a quick release plate with Arca-type compatible tripod mounts. The aluminum alloy grip also facilitates access to the battery compartment and memory card slot, even when mounted to a tripod. Additionally, the 1/4"-20 tripod mount can be positioned along the optical axis of the camera to benefit the creation of panning shots.
