Its 4-section legs each feature an independent 20°, 40°, 60°, or 80° spread as well as 35° twist locks for rapid adjustments. The leg spread allows for a minimum working height of 20.2" - ideal for macro work. Non-slip, all-weather TPU grips on two of the legs provide a secure, comfortable grip while moving the tripod, and rubber feet enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces. A hook under the center column allows you to hang a counterweight for further stability. The tripod spider (canopy) has a 3/8"-16 tap for attaching lights, articulating arms, and other accessories. The PH-31 2-Way Fluid Pan Head can be rotated 360° and tilted -60 to 90° forward. Each of these movements function independently of each other and can be locked into place. The head has an Arca-compatible quick release. Cameras or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the included QS-60 V2 Quick Release Plate, which features a rubberized, non-slip platform. The plate can be attached or removed from the QR clamp located at the top of head by tightening or loosening its knurled, locking knob. The tripod comes with a case with shoulder strap for storage and transport. Central Column and Lock Mechanism The mechanism offers one-handed, effortless smooth operation and rapid set-up, while the unique faceted center column ensures enhanced rigidity and stability. Leg Angle Selector Achieve ideal positioning and balance of the tripod to match any working terrain, by using the strong and steady 4-angle leg setting options of 20°, 40°, 60°, or 80°. Advanced Twist-Lock Fast 35° turn to lock or unlock ensures instant leg extension/retraction. Alta Link The tripod canopy (spider) is fitted with a 3/8"-16 threaded connector which allows easy attachment of additional accessories, such as lighting equipment and articulated or flexible arms, thus offering users new creative possibilities. Multi Featured Its many features include a fitted bubble level and dedicated suspension loop to ensure ideal positioning and additional stability by hanging a counterweight or bags, non-slip, all-weather TPU grips on 2 legs and angled rubber feet to ensure a secure grip on any terrain (spiked feet sold separately). The Alta PH-31 offers superior handle ergonomics and precision thanks to the independent control of directions: one handle offers 360° panning and -60 to 90° front tilt. The fluid action provides smooth panning, which is especially valuable in video work. Performance features include friction control and a locking system. The head has a bubble level for panoramic photography or videography adjustments and an Arca-compatible quick release and camera plate for fast mounting and dismounting of your camera.
